What does your significant other think of your "gun lust" for lack of a better word lol. Mine says I have to many as it is and don't need any more and I catch hell everytime I buy a new 1 :x , thank god she doesn't know about all the 1's I store in my parents basement lol  I can bring home another woman and it's all good, but if I bring home a new gun, bow, or anything realted to shooting or hunting I get bitched at for a month, I couldn't take more than 100$ to the Sportsmans show last week WTF is up with that? I pay all my bills, I buy her stuff, I buy all guns cash and buy only when I can afford to so what's the problem? Then she turns around and tells me I'm getting the SIG 226 crimson trace for valentines day (getting it late cuz she ordered it yesterday). she knew I was looking at a SIG and picked the 226 CT because she"liked the colors and the red light pointy thing was cool" Isn't that like giving a bottle of jack danials to an alcoholic? So do the rest of you catch the same shit or is it just me?

I feel your pain. When I bought my USP Tactical, I made the mistake of letting my girlfriend at the time come with me to the gun store. When she saw that I dropped that much cash on a pistol and didn't spend as much on her for her birthday, that pretty much sealed that one. It's funny because I didn't know the guy working the counter that well at the time, and he asked me, "So, is this your wife". I just laughed and said "If I was married, do you think I'd be stupid enough to spend this kind of money in front of her on something that isn't for her?". Probably didn't help matters that she didn't like guns. That's why I usually make the target range one of the first 3 dates nowadays. You gotta test the water before you jump in the pool, don't want to find out she's an anti-gun nut when you show her your collection.
Oh, and to clarify on one point, I know ALL the guys that work at that gun store now to the point where if I run into them in town, they'll tell me about new shit they got at the store that I'd be interested in. I've given them enough business to where they have a pretty good sense of what I would buy and what I wouldn't. Kind of funny when you run into the liquor store for something real quick and you end up talking for a half hour with one of the guys from the gun store you happened to run into while you were there about new shit they have. Or you got into the gas station for a bottle of water and you hear "Hey, Shad, how's that new red dot sight working out for you" from behind the chips. One of the nice things about smallish towns, I guess.
The thing that confuses me, she's not anti gun, she likes shooting. She doesn't like the bigger guns like the 50 or 408 cuz there really loud but the smaller stuff she shoots more than me. She' ll grab my 10/22 and sit on the back poarch and harrass the squirls chipmunks and tin can for hours. She even claimed my last project guns as hers lol I built a 257 weatherby on a mauser action, which now has a metallic purple stock and grey and red spiral fluted barrel with a fucking koala bear painted on the buttstock cuz she wanted it. But I can't buy anymore lol makes no sense
I know what you mean about small towns, I have my dealer on speed dial lol #8

Yeah you can duracoat then airbrush or paint anything you want on it
I realize this, but a koala bear, that's some funny shit. Hearing that almst makes me want to put a Hello Kitty sticker on my Mossburg.
I am lucky....my wife loves guns as much as me. She didnt until I took her shooting a few times now she is a shotgun junky above all.
My wife is a total anti.

When I first broached the subject, she had a firm rule: "No guns in the house".

Of course, I had a plan, and a year later I had a gun safe with a rifle or two and the odd handgun, and she was okay with that. Thinks progressed from there, my plan was comprehensive.

That said, she loves me a lot, and puts up with my obsession, as she has put up with a lot of my obsessions, racing, cars, climbing, mountain biking, etc etc etc.

She hates guns, but as long as I have a gun safe and they are locked up (we have small kids) she's okay with them.
After reading some of these, I realize how lucky I am.
My wife wants to get her CCL, and we've been looking for a really good pistol that will fit her small hands. She likes the sig 232 I think it is, but it only comes in a 380 and she wants something in 9mm. She bought my sig 229 for my b-day a couple of years ago. Then today she tells me she signed me up for a tactical handgun class in 2 weeks.
You lucky bastard. That's the kind of woman every man needs to find.
My gf loves guns just as much as I do, lucky me. I have however in past experienced gals who dislike guns simply because they dont understand them.
We have our own money and she doesn't give a damn what I buy with it. 8)

u should post that pick of her holdin ur AR-10
My gf loves firearms. She had a bad experience with some pump shotguns, but I am trying to break her into the semis.

In fact, she expressed some interest in trying some USPSA stuff, which would be cool.

She is forcing me to help her with her AR build when I am done mine.

She also CCs more than I do. But random threats from inmates would make me paranoid too...
