Should work fine since they use the same cartridge case as their basis so the gun should have the same frame, slide, and mags.
XD .40 question
Will a .357 sig barrell drop in with no other adjustments?
I know on most pistols this will work, such as Glock and Sigs, but I haven't heard of anyone doing it on an XD.

Mags interchange between the frames but wont work if you seek to convert from 9mm to 40 S&W
