I have 6 Orlite 30 rnd mags that I would like to trade for 5-6 steel mags in good shape.


My Orlites all have good feed lips & function 100% in my bushmaster. Included with the 6 mags will be 2 of each: springs, followers, base plate & floor plates.


I would like to get 5-6 30 rnd steel mags that are in good shape (no dents,rust or LE/Gov markings)

We each pay the shipping to get the items to each other.

I thought I would like them....I picked them up 2nd hand from a guy on AR15.com

I planned to use them as range mags but I want to standardize all my mags & i have a far number of steels. They work great & are a tad bit lighter than a steel mag.

I do like Orlite mags alot... always had very good luck with them.

Il have to see what I have here, I have more AR mags then I could ever think of useing... somewhere around 25-30 for 3 AR's, and about the same for AK mags.

They are not marked LE/Gov only.....let me see if there is a date on them....

The marking are as follows:

All 6 have: ORLITE-ENG.CO

All 6 have: 1135-1673-Y (the "Y" is funny looking with the bottom part bent 90 deg to the left)


next to the above markings there is a circle with 2 numbers seperated by a horizontel line the 0 is on top of the line & the other # right below it

those numbers are: 0/22 0/32 0/23 0/31 0/36 0/31

I hope we can tell if they are pre bans by that info..... Let me know if you have any other questions.

All my steel mags are well used and a few rust spots.

Why steel? they eat out your mag wells, scratch the hell out of your finish as well as rusting.

What are the other options....It's steel or plastic right??? I would love to have a big bag full of USGI teflons with green followers....but most folks dont want to give those up. if all the steels I have get bad enough I will refinish them.

It just hit me, those mags will not work in the new 5.56 rifle I have on order... Its a secret for now, yall will see soon nuff...

I do have two of these and they work great at a good price.
