lol, what's with the motorcycle helmets? getting hit in the face isn't that painful, plus I'll bet it gets all muggy in there, just some boxing headgear for me please...

The krav maga center I go to offers 'advanced training' weekends for $80-120 a head (the more people you bring=the less cash you spend). Covers knife attacks, gun attacks, defense against multipule attackers, protecting a noncombatant, ect. All good stuff, plus you get to tumble with people twice yer size (the scary type of fun).

I'd imagine the helmets are so they can actually hit hard, and so nobody loses an eye to the pointy things.

yeah but I'm just thinking of sending a fist into someone's helmeted head & breaking my hand. but I understand the logic of anti-pointiness and such, just that when you train you also establish certain habits (such as not landing a head shot that could give you an opening to book it out of there).
