Is Wolf ammo really as bad as everyone on the internet says?;) I just picked up a box of 9mm from the gunstore without thinking. I'm assuming even if it isn't the best, it won't be too bad to burn through 50 of them. At this point I don't even care if it is that accurate, just want to know how potentially dangerous/harmful to the gun it may be.

I shoot alot of Wolf out of SKS's AK's Maks and never had trouble, but sadly I have started to shoot it in some of my AR-15's now. Its not as bad as everyone makes it out to be I just dumped 400 rounds the other week and had no trouble. I have only seen a few times where it has messed up AR-15's and that was cheap extractors its shoot that or shoot alot less brass cased ammo. Its fine in any rusky guns but dont shoot to much if you dont know how to replace extracters and dont want to clean much.

I figure I can replace a upper recever and extractor every 7K and still save a crap load useing it.

It shall NEVER touch my FN FS2000! Il buy brass cased ammo just for that :)

What kind of pistol is it?

A) It isn't as horrible as everyone makes it out to be. It won't clog your gun in 2 rounds or less. All you need to do after shooting is clean. What a surprise!

I would not use it to much but a case or two is fine.

You could always ask Springfield about it.

I have shot Wolf in my Walther P38, Steyr M9, Tokarev, Taurus Pt92, Ruger P85Mk2, Eaa Witness, and CZ, SKS, AK, AR, and FAL without ONE issue. In ONE box of Winchester whitebox 9mm I had 2 bent rounds and 3 hangfires. Clean youur gun and steel case ammo will not hurt it. The only exception is in 1911 pistols. The extractors dont like it. My AR has shot alot of Silver Bear without issue and its steel case, especially in the XD. Now in a target or race gun it doesnt make sense to use dirty and cheap ammo. I figure if the Tula arms plant can make some of the most durable guns out there, they can make good enough ammo as well(Wolf is just the importer)

Fiocchi 9mm is hotter.....infact almost all Fiocchi ammo is hotter than US made ammo. The fact is that US companies underload alot of rounds like 7mm Mauser, 8mm Mauser, 9mm, and 357 Magnum just incase someone with a jun gun that isnt in proper order fires their ammo. The underloads are insurance on their asses. Most Luger P08 pistols wont even cycle with US ammo. Back in the 50's you had to get Canadian surplus alot of the time. Seller and Beloit and Hirtenburger are other good Euro ammo makers.
