I just looked at the member list and I was like "Woah! almost 600 members already! Damn!" But then looked at the details... 50 or so on July 7, and the last 100 have all been bots. I wonder how they get past the registration part?

Seems like htey register just to get a website link in there, I wonder if it's possible to edit their websites to link back to gunatics. Probably a lot of typing and hassle for an admin though.

you can also activate the "visual confirmation" in phpbb. While not 100% it does cut down the bot spam. There's also a phpbb MOD that's called Confusabot appropriately enough.. Just for this prob.
