What to do to my Win 1300 Defender?

4495 Views 16 Replies 8 Participants Last post by  MrMcCrackin
Since they are not producing the the 1300 any more and I picked it up 4 years ago on sale for $105 at Sports Authority.

Its completely bone stock and been to the desert on search and destroy missions on several occation in that form.

Its time I put up any accessories before they discontinue producing them also.

So what to get?

BTW - this is a home defense/swat type of scatter gun

negative ghost rider - the pattern is full

3 years ago i would have - but since its no longer in production i want to keep it, i have no idea why.
they will still make shit for a long while for them. There is enough 1200/1300 out there to ensure business for a while. I expect someone will end up buying winchester since FN's lease on the rights is up in a few years and Olin( who owns the trademark and makes the win ammo) will probably try to resuce Winchesters reputation and bring it back somehow either buy selling teh trademark or setting up manufacture again.

Id rather see Ithaca pump out shottys again.
ok - back to the topic at hand

i was thinkin about getting ghost rings installed and adding a Knoxx Compstock, side saddle and sling

I'll second that one big time.
Yeah... My first shotgun ever was an ithica 12 guage featherlight. Great field gun, easy to carry, kicked like a mule :p
Nothing kicks more than this Greener 12ga single shot Martini Henry I have. Its about 4.5-5lbs with no recoil pad....ouch

ok - still no ideas on how to modify my defender?

what about a grenade luncher attachment?
How about someone photochop Janq's (I think) 10 million power spot light to the side of it. Eat that, Surefire!
How about an advanced tech stock with pistol grip forarm and a barrel shroud with ghost rings.

Thats who I got my stuff from

to change my old boring Remington 870 into a mean looking weapon that any winey librial could proudly call a "street sweeper" (TOP)

Same with that mossberg 500C cruser there under it, the stock pistol grip hurts like hell when you fire it so I added the forward pistol grip.

Also note the "SO CALLED" SKS bore cleaner in the top center of the picture near the cell phone charger and the cat fud...no... not that, yea they rope... how is this clean your barrel?!?!

i was looking at the heat shield with ghost rings - for those that have them - how do you like them?

i was deffinately going to add ghost rings - but i was a little concerned with the ATI Heat Shield Ghost Ring set up - it looks kinda cheap
i am still on the fence about whether to get a Surefire Forend with weapon light or just get a adapater for one my T3's or my C2.
well thanks for all your help!

i am getting a surefire forend, spec ops stock and trudot site and calling it good.

afterall its my ghetto blaster shotty

all the moeny goes into the 870 magnum project
