if the main support mechanism was above the tail and under the hammer i think it would be a lot easier to pull with my hand all the way around the grip. however, it doubt it would be nearly as secure.
I had a nylon rig before I didn't care for and was cheap. Im looking to get a better one for fall when shoulder carry is more possible due to the weather.
Same here, I have an uncle mike's shoulder holster. It's not bad, the only problem is the width of the gun, it tends to press on my brachial vein making my arm go numb sometimes, unless I pull my arm away a bit.
If any portion of your name involves 'Crockett' or 'Tubbs' I say go for it. Otherwise, I can think of very few instances where it wold beat a good IWB holster.

When you are driving a car it would be alot better. I carry IWB in the appendix style and its comfortable as long as I am not sitting. Thats when my Steyr M9 and Cougar 8040 really dig in.
