Just thought I'd share the couple pics that were taken earlier today between me and my friends that actually have me in them. Went out shooting with my boss's husband and a bunch of my other friends. Even got a pic of the new XD in action. Didn't get any pics of the targets, all we were shooting at was random shit that was on my buddy's property. Old computer moniters, basketballs, shit like that.

Nice!

I went out last evening to the local gravel pit and caught a great sunset. (This is reflected off the roof of my truck)

I blew up a couple of shaving cream cans (one blew really spectacularly) and a can of spray paint. I used a ruger 77/22 and a ruger Single Six Bisley.

As usual, I left with a small plastic bag full of non biodegradable garbage. :)

Normally, I wear my shooting glasses. Yesterday, though, I realized I forgot to grab them after the hour drive out to my friend's property, so I decided that, instead of wasting 2 hours of daylight, I'd just shoot without them. Shitty excuse, I know, but these things happen from time to time. I also actually didn't shoot without eye protection a whole lot, either. My friend found an extra pair he forgot about in his nearby hunting blind about an hour into the shooting.

Which pistol? The XD-40 Service Model that I'm shooting in the bottom pic, or the Sig P226 strapped to my thigh on the top picture? I'm also kind of shocked that nobody's yelled at me for lack of earplugs on the top picture yet.

I did notice that, and I was going to yell at your, but I figured you'd probably not be able to hear me anyway. Waka waka waka.

You know, I've never shot a rifle without hearing protection...

Pistol, yes... Makes you go deaf for a second... can't imagine what a .50cal BMG would do.

The AR/M16 rifles aren't as bad to shoot without earplugs as most guns are. They're actually quite mild in comparison. Sadly, I've shot them many times without hearing protection, which could (and most definately does) account for the 50% hearing loss in my left ear.
