Hello everyone. I am having issues concealing a pistol comfortably.

Clothes I wear out in the summer time are mostly shorts/jeans and a Tshirt. Abercombie/Holister/dress shirts tucked in mostly. Winter shouldnt be a problem colder weather more clothes makes it easier. However when wearing a pair of shorts and Tshirt hiding this XD40 is a troublesome task to say the least.

Pistol is a XD40 subcompact 3" model
Holster:

I usualy carry at the right hand side waist area/3-4 o'clock positions. Any ideas on a different holster/carry points? Thanks guys!

wear a belt and just stick the gun in your pants. problem solved. motha f-in gangstas do it every day.

Mexican carry is the mark of a buffoon with a gun, whether it be legal or not.

Get a comfortable holster. I can't tell you how to wear it, because everyone's body is different. I can conceal a DE in shoulder leather and a sport coat, but that doesn't mean everyone with t3h uber CCW can.

Try different holsters, get different ones. Summer carry (for most people in CA) for the most part consists of a wheel gun in a pocket/pocket holster. Doesn't really print, stays concealed and allows so many clothing choices...unless you are a chick with a sun dress.

Try on different holsters, get ones that are the most comfortable and most importantly *STAY* concealed.

I have a similar problem with concealing a firearm and lately have found the $20 DeSantis nylon IWB holster works pretty well for me. I have a Springfield XD9 Sub-Compact. That seems to work better than the Galco Matrix and the Don Hume Leather that I have (both are outside the waistband but hug pretty tightly to the body). As for carrying my Kimber, I've resigned myself to the fact that the gun is too big to CONCEAL about my person having the build I do.

hahaha obviously you didn't read the sarcasm in my post!

Sarcasm doesn't transfer in the web.

And seeing as how I don't know you from jack, it'd be hard for me to expect it, genius.

I actually adjusted it QUIET a few times, just think the fact that its hard plastic that its uncomfortable.:(
That sucks. I had to adjust mine a few times before I liked it. Everybody is different. I wear my G26 appendix or at 2 o'clock however you prefer to say it. I bet the difference is that the barrel is much shorter.

hey manic - i actually switched the leather tab from one side to the other and found the "sweet spot" for all carrying situations - including long periods of driving and sitting

Ya know, I never found the comp-tac to be that comfortable either. I'd try a leather one, see if that does ya any better.

When I belt carry now, 99% of the time it's OWB... way more comfortable and depending on clothing either indifferently concealed (as I do here in Maine) or pretty well concealed (as in MA).

Does anyone have any thoughts on SOB as a carry option for a Government size 1911?

the thing about SOB - i didnt like how my 229 flopped around back there

then there is the whole paranoid part about the guy behind you in line grabbin your firearm
