33 deceased 29 injured

1 gunman with 2 9mm handguns ect ect

RIP for those involved and their families - this is such a tragic event

now lets get the facts and start making policy changes from there

and that means NOT placing 9mm handguns on the ban list either!

"Gee, if the students had their guns,'' a gun nut will now argue, "then maybe they could've stopped him."

Yeah, right. There's nothing safer than a classroom full of frantic college students squeezing off rounds during the chaos that ensues after a gunman has opened fire.
/rips out hair

so, all collage students are frantic. none have the intelligence required to safely operate a firearm under chaotic conditions, and anyone put into that scenario with a firearm would just mindlessly start expending ammunition in a frantic attempt to curb the hysteria.

right.

how did these people get into collage again?

by the way he says it, we are hopeless doomed as a species. shit, i dont think we should let people drive anymore. what happens if we get one crazy ass hole on the road trying to hit people? will everyone else completely loose composure and frantically attempt to hit them with their vehicle?

On top of the tragedy in itself, the cascade of events that will follow this day will be absolute crazy talk. in other words, buisiness as usual. its amazing that a full day has not passed and people are already using this as a platform for stricter gun laws.

but, perhaps the scariest fact of all? its been 11 hours + since the original 911 call, their was no stand off, 31 people are dead, 30 wounded, and we still dont have a confirmed gunman. they have simple assumed that the corpse with two 9mm pistols is that of the gunman.

fan-fuckin-tastic.

there are few places i think should be gun free. collage campuses are NOT one of them. WAY too many people (particularly women) are victimized on school campuses because they KNOW there are strict rules against weapons of all sorts.

How about we in this nation start addressing the societal ills that are the root of the problem, instead of treating a symptom of it....ie. Gun Violence.

All I can say is thank god it was not committed with a Mini 14, AR, or AK

And do remember that at the Austin Texas shooting the guy had a bolt action and still offed over a dozen people.

yeah, 13 as memory serves. but he was a marine, that man had more rounds down range then most. however, its irelivent. in fact, the type of weapon involved is wholey irelivent in this situation in my opinion. it happened. nothing can stop that. nothing can stop a man who is determined to kill with his own hands. however, the death tole could have been substantially reduced if the victims had ANY way of defending themselves.

Oooooooohhhh! All this assault weapon banning has done wonders to secure our nation!

As soon as I heard that this shooting happened (about 20mins ago, I was at work in a tech dungeon without outside information) and heard that the shooter had two 9mm pistols I INSTANTLY thought "Yay! he didn't use a semi-automatic rifle" and knew that he had to have been using a glock, either model 17, or 19 (or 18 if he was rich) with the 33rd magazines... Cuz no way in hell would he have killed that many people with standard magazines...

Oh yes... the shit has not even hit the fan yet, but already I see them saying if the assault weapon ban was around this would not have happened.

sarah brady and her verbal diarrhea should start any time then it happens...

This is a tragedy but one question... The guy that did this has been in the USA for a year from China. was it legal for him to own a gun not liveing in the US? Hm...

F'd up to say the least. I wish that piece of shit shooter wouldn't have killed himself and would have been taken into custody so he could suffer the wrath of the inmates...

Such a shame... RIP to all the students, and god help their families.

Exactly. He was not a legal gun owner, those mags weren't legal, nothing he did was legal. If you have money, you have a gun. Simple as that.

He makes people like you and I look bad... We are the ones who go by the book, we are the ones who pay top dollar for our LEGAL magazines, legal rifles, legal pistols... We do the homework, we do the paperwork... Then some POS rat bastard from China, or some felon, or whatever, comes and throws down $700 and says give me a gun and gets one without any trace and then liberal gun maniacs come and want to take OUR guns away!

WHERE IS THE FUCKING LOGIC!?
