Thinking of building a Hi Power with compensator. What do you guys think? It will most liekly be on a FM(argentine) or FEG(Hungarian) Hi Power since I am not made of money.
Argentine Hi Power Notice the 1911 type slide profile
Traditional FN hi power. May also get the FEG Hungarian clone.
I actually bought a Hi-point C-9 or whatever the hell its called when I went in to buy my CZ.... I drove home and thought about it it and decided to not buy it and returned it and bought an XD instead.
I don't wanna mess around with firearms that don't go "bang" every time. Know what I mean?
Daniel buddy you misread me. Hi Power not Hi Point...I would only use a hi point for a paperweight or as a weapon in the following fashion.
Step One- Take Hi Point and insert into old Tube sock
Step Two-Swing it around overhead and hit assailant in the face cause the only way the gun will be effective.
Here is more what I am talking about buying

Im thinking of Going FEG or Argentine since I can have them for 300 bucks new. Im divided over the slide profile....I kinda like the hybrid look but I love the classic as well....oh teh humanity of having only a litle extra cash
Are those C&R guns? I've never heard of the maker, or them beign that damn cheap. Even the used ones up here are all aroung $550 at the least. Of course, they are all FN. The gun shop actually has a post WWII Enlgish model for about the same price. Pretty beat up, but man, I bet it has an interesting history.
FM used to be a licensed Hi Power contractor for the Argentine military so they are up to standards.
FEG is the Ruger of Europe pretty much making really inexpensive yet dependable pistols. They have been around for over a century and used to be a mauser and steyr contractor for years.
500 plus for a used hi power isnt that good. I can get new ones for less than that most of the time. But I can spend a feww hundred less for just as good of one without the bells and whistles of a high polish blued finish. Its alot like buying a 1911A or an AR151....you can spend way more for an original colt...or you can just pick up a springfield armory or DPMS and save money.
Some are C&R and those are the original P35 series with the John Inglis and Nazi Occupation ones brining the top dollar.
