I haven't even had time to shop around. I just figured someone else might have come across them in their shopping or have actually shopped for them themselves.

FWIW, I get a 15% discount on the actual sticker price, which pays for tax plus about 6%. It's not a bad gig.

I don't know for sure but my memory banks immediately recalled five hundred.
It's been a very long time though since I last had a look at one of those.
Maybe the prices have dropped.

My best friend has one and he loves it.
The RB and a Mossy 500 are his HD guns as he & his family used to live in an awful section of MD. He wanted something that would knock a bitch back and punch through doors.

My buddy has the 6" in .44 Mag in stainless.
The fucker shoots like it looks. I personally don't like shooting it but then it does get the job done for what it is.

I called him last night to ask about it but he wasn't home so I left a VM and will get back to you on his opinions when he calls back.

As for me I like the 4" short barrel '444' version...

EVERY Taurus I have seen made since 1995 has been nothing but fine. Almost every gun maker makes a lemon now and again. Hell S&W made EVERY Sigma a lemon until the VE series came out, and they still have the worlds worst trigger pull. Taurus used to make crap and that was their goal. People will buy cheap crap which accounts for all the Jennings, Raven, Lorcin, and Hi Points out there. But when they changed their focus to quality guns the rep stuck. Alot of people also have the "Buy American" opinion as well which hurt the Taurus name. My Taurus PT92 has never had one jam or misfire, and my 44 mag pictured below takes the full power 44 Buffalo Bore loads with ease. my only complaint about the Taurus wheelguns is that the cylinder gap is too tight and some get sticky from rubbing when hot due to thermal expansion of the metal. Also my Taurus is made with forged steel, something Ruger does not use, and S&W charge over 2x as much for. Everyone has their opinions but I have seen Colts, CZs, and S&Ws have more issues than Taurus.

Here is my pea shooter 44
