A 32acp penetrates well enough that is for sure. I have a Walther pp in 32acp and that 15in of penetration I have seen Box o truth style is 7 1/2 inches in flesh which will hit major organs.

I do feel that the perp who shot this lady had a bad gun and/or near squib rounds.

Only a 25acp lacks sufficient power to go through a skull.

Janq, I cant hold it in any longer... Who is that in your ava?!
"In 1770, Crispus Attucks, a black man, became the first casualty of the American Revolution when he was shot and killed in what became known as the Boston Massacre."

This drawing of the Boston Massacre is by Henry Pelham, stepbrother of painter John Singleton Copley.
Pelham published his design nearly two weeks after Paul Revere's.

Well hell, a .22 Short, long or Long rifle will go through a skull at mid range even.

Getting shot in the head from across the street with a .22 would surely ruin your day.
Yep.

I read somewhere earlier this year that there are more Amercians dead of gunshot wounds via a .22 than any other caliber old or current.
I'm not sure if they are only counting civilian non military deaths (e.g. skipping the Civil War) but true or not there has been a lot of people put to sleep thanks to the .22.
People laugh at that round as being puny and weak but get you some Stingers (1200 FPS!) or some other hot .22 and bang bang, you're dead when hit in the head. Gang bangers in CA have been offing each other for decades via .22 shots to the head, chest and upper torso. I wouldn't want to get shot with anything not even a .22.

This lady shaking off not one, or three but six shots to the dome even if for some odd reason being low powered/weak is just short of miraculous. Unbelievable even considering they were powerful enough to cycle dudes gun, assuming he didn't have a revolver like say a starters gun.

The .22 is a very capable round, it's just not a self defence round. The .22 is very good as a close range offensive weapon, getting up close and putting 2 in the back of the head or 1 to head 1 to heart with a .22 will stop anyone that doesn't have a steel plated head.
