I was wondering if anyone has ordered a bolt action from them, and if so if they are really as accurate as they claim, and also how are they on fit and finish, (i'm considering the tactical para)

That looks exactly like a Remington M700 with the A.I.C.S. Chassis.

I think it would depend on the price and how much they are accurizing the base M700.

Both of the major parts, the Remington M700 and the Accuracy International Chassis System are top notch in the fit and finish. Honestly though theres a few other shop that put combo together like:

Tac Pro (Official Accuracy International US Sales)
http://www.tacproshootingcenter.com/AccuracyInternational.html

Iron Brigade Armory (Closely tied in with Blackwater USA and their Sniper School)

EDIT LOL NM.. You already posted about the AICS here.

Im just not a fan of push feed rifle at all so I am of no help. I prefer controlled feed, hell a controlled feed will cycle upside down if you want it to.

Not a big fan of Iron Brigade Armory, basically all they do is take a Rem PSS or 700VS off the shelf gun do a little trigger job and put on a propriety paint job and charge an extra 1000$ for that. So you pay 2000$ for a gun you can buy at walmart.

Tac pro and Tac rifles.net actually do action work and use aftermarket barrels to ring out the best accuracy possible. Yes their 700 actions in AICS chassis but they've been machined to perfection.

Carney, I see you're in TX so if you're really serious about a good rifle there's a custom maker in Dayton by name of Charlie Sisk, he's in the same price range and can build you pretty much anything you want. And his rifles are MORE accurate than TacPro or Tacrifles.net.

that is the range i go too, and the para from tactical rifles vs more or less the same rifle from tac pro (a blueprinted 700 on ai frame used), it would cost me right at $1,000 more for the one from tac pro

What about doing 1 yourself? You can pick up a used 700 action for under 400$ the AI chassis for around 800$ then send it to be rebarreled by some1 like Hart,Shilen, Kreiger,Wiseman and they'll lap and true the action and put on a match grade barrel and give it a trigger job and pillar bed it into your AI for 800-1200$. You're looking at 2500$ with shipping added in for the same gun TacPro sells for 4000$

Unless the range you go to has 1 in stock it's faster to have 1 sent out. The big name's Robar, McM Bros' Tactical Rifles. etc have a turn around of 8-12wks if their not swamped and right now McM and Robar have 8month to 1yr backorders I don't know how Tac Rifles is doing. To send 1 out you're looking at 8-10 wks most likely.

It may be worth while giving Shilen a call and see what they can do. Their in TX and you being a TX LEO they may be able to speed things along. They do very good work and have A+ customer service.

Those are great scopes, the clarity is amazing and their rock solid. They are heavy but the durability makes it worth it. I strongly reccomendthe NP1RR or MILDOT reticule. The NP1R is taken from the Schmidt&Bender Bryant reticule which is one of my favorite tac recticules. It gives you instant ranging out to 800.
