Crazy... I went there that night to go shoot some stuff up and there were cops surrounding the place and told me to leave. If I would have gone a couple hours earlier like originally planned I might have been in the same lane as her.

Yeah it sucks. Used to happen reguarly at the local indoor range down here, until they went to the "buddy rule". But form that articel it sounds liek the "buddy rule" wouldn't have helped.

Postscript

I took a friend of mine to TargetMasters on Friday; it was his first time handling a non-airsoft weapon. We decided that a GLOCK 17 would be a reasonable gun to start with. We filled out the paperwork, and the bloke behind the counter took my friend's keys, took down the GLOCK and handed it to him with the words, "Careful; this gun has killed." Apparently, it was the GLOCK involved the in the August suicide, just returned from police evidence that morning.

What a way to encourage new shooters...

Do us all a favor and call the manager of that facility to tell him exactly what you have told us here.
Not only is that _not_ a way that a business should be operating but also that is not exactly a heartenign way to help out an anti, not that the counter person knew he was as much. Also what the hell was he thinking to tell a customer the gun they have in hand was formerly in the hands of a sucide! For that matter why is that gun even in circulation? The owner might should have had it destroyed.
