I just received my Spyderco H1 Tasman Salt. The knife is made in Seki-City Japan. Overall it feels like a nice light weight solid folding knife. The blade opens quickly, doesn’t drag, and has nothing on it to bind on its way out of your pocket. The edge looks and feels amazing. The back of the blade has a nice arch with ribs machined into it as a thumb grip; it’s just a nice detail.

I don’t like the side the clip is on. I am going to have to move it so I can clip the knife inside my right side pant pocket. Thankfully it can be moved to the other side. Overall I’m quite satisfied and the knife itself exceeded my expectations. This knife will easily move into rotation for my daily carry depending on how dress.

Update on this knife. I have been carrying it just about every day since I purchased it. I have used it to open mail, boxes during my move, etc etc etc. Usually I treat my knives with a little more respect, but I have been torture testing this one. So far it’s still amazingly sharp! I have zero complaints about this knife and I would 100% purchase another one if I ever lost or damaged this one in any way.

I can't comment on the situation as things are still pending in court, but carrying a knife made for "cutting rope" goes a long way when you are talking to a judge. Yes things so far have been ruled in my favor, but I still have a little ways to go. I'm scheduled for another court date in Jan before I will update.
