I saw a 220 in a shop the other day and liked the look and feel a lot and the idea of an SAO Sig. is appealing but I don't really need another .45 so talk me out of buying it.

Does any1 have 1 or know of anything wrong with it?

The BOSS:twisted: of the house thinks I have enough gun and has made me open a new bank account for my "gun fund" that comes from my bonus checks and that's all I'm allowed to spend on guns anymore:cry: .

Before I would have just bought the damn thing and we wouldn't be discussing this lol But now I'm on a limited budget so I'm trying to find a reason to by the 220 other than just because I want it.

That's why i want you to talk me out of it.

I was so on the fence between a 220 Ernie Langdon and the GSR back in the day.
Having come from a 226, which I totally regret selling but then it made sense and I needed the money to boot, it was a natural progression...but I'd then just gotten bit by the 1911 bug and well thats all she wrote.

I went with the GSR and have been happy, but I still think back to the now discontinued 220EL. :)

Sell the boat! :D
Nooooooo don't say such a thing lol

Janq,

That's another thing, I have a Revolution and I'm trying to justify;something I've never done before; buying another .45 that's not a true 1911ish type. But the 220 tactical is hella sweet.

yeah.. I'll be no help talking you outta it either lol. Can you ever have too many .45 variants?
you can never have to many guns period.

This is my final argument if you will lol

I'm going to venture into IDPA and 3 gun match in the spring so the pistol I buy will need to work for that, seeing as i've never shot a pistol in competition do you think the 220 will work ok for this or sshould i steer towards a 1911 platform.
