That would have been TNT buried in a shallow hole. Actually I think one of them was probably a large black powder charge based off the fireball, but the rest were TNT. You don't get a fireball with high-grade demo (unless it's placed on something like a tank of gasoline), just a small flash of light and a lot of debris. Made me wish it was August already so I can go to the demo range, damn once a year bullshit.

Just like Shad said its tnt at most machine gun shoots they put cases of tnt out on the range to shoot some times on cars household appliances or just on the ground.

Yeah, I've worked with enough demo to tell the shit apart just by the blast characteristics. Only get to do demo ranges once a year now. Apparently it's too expensive for the Army to have us do it more than that now. The sad part is that demo work is a big part of my MOS, so I feel I'm getting robbed out of good training. Not to mention that it's fun as hell.

But you gotta remember most peple that have machine guns don't normally get to go shoot them any time they want unless the have access to private property even then usually the sheriff and state police show up to see whats going on. Its not like with your pistols where you just go to the range anytime you want. And its real easy to go through a couple thousand rounds in no time so for machine guns you have to buy it in bulk or surplus ammo and if you can aford a machine gun you won't mind paying for ammo.

VERY satisfying, especally liked the total destruction of the T-bird. Used to own one of those crappy cars, good to see it in flames...

If all those people were aiming at the car when it first started rolling, thats some of the worst aiming I've ever seen. :uzi:

lol I was thinking the same thing. Some people didn't even look like they were watching what they were shooting. just kinda flyin some lead in all directions. awesome nonetheless.

Hey did anyone see that episode of mail call where they did the special about some shooting range where they have a machinegun shootout once a year by invite only? That one was cool.
