In addition to Janq's excellent gun law thread, I think it would be a good idea to get quotes and links where appropriate to actual self defense laws. Just because you are legally in posession of a gun doesn't mean you can use it however you like.

I wasn't sure if this warranted it's own thread of if Janq's should be expanded... Henry feel free to merge 'em if you want to.

You are a step ahead of me...

As per notice via a thread from last week over at CombatCarry I picked up a copy of this months 'Combat Handguns' which features an article titled; "Seven Myths that Can Hang You In Court" by Massad Ayoob.
I'd intended to look up and post a thread along this line this past weekend but due to being tied up with family stuff didn't find the time for it.

I'll come back and bump your thread withthe content of his article if I can find reference to it online.
It's a very long multiple page read but for CCW and gun owners with a bent toward home defense in general it's a very relevant information piece.
