So I finally got my sorry ass around to buying one, and HOLY c4rp! What a difference.

About 4x brighter than standard and uses much less battery power. Pure white light and it is focusable like the regular maglites!

It's the maglite brand LED replacment... Got it at wallyworld for $18.

You say there brighter? Thats the one thing I dont like about mag lights is there battertys are gone in like an hour.

I wish they had them for 5 cell lights

if they had them for 5 cell I would get two, you would think with 5 D's it would last alot longer, Nope..

Its expensive to replace 5 D's every few hours.

Ive noticed quite a few of the maglites at walmart advertise that they already have a 3 watt LED. Are they all the same brightness even though they come in many different sizes and with different sizes of batteries? Or does the number of cells or the size of the cells (C vs D) make a difference in the brightness?

i am finally going to get a 3D cell LED today for my maglite

i feel bad as my maglite gets neglected - i always grab my surefire or inova

The maglite conversion led bulbs work well! I replaced all my maglite 3 D cell lights with them and they really make the mini-maglites alot brighter! Got them at Wal-Mart.

the light is much more crisp and clear - i have once again fallin in lub wit my 3D cell maglite :lol:
