Hypothetical situation:
I'm looking through the For Sale section of a website, AR15.com for example, and I see someone in a neighboring state who has posted a weapon for a face to face sale. He's in Kentucky and I'm in Ohio.
Both my state and the seller's state have similiar laws regarding the ownership of this type of firearm.
Q: Do I need to go through a Federal Firearms License holder to complete this transaction because I'm not a resident of the same state as the seller?
Technically the sale is being conducted in one state, and then I am personally transporting that weapon to another. At the local Ohio gun shows, it seems that the table denizens selling personal weapons only ask that you be a resident of OH, KY or IN.
