For many years the Military has chosen the sidearm for our warriors. Many reasons are given for their choices; political, lobbying, money, etc.. Thought I would ask the forum member to make their own choices so we can see what would be the popular gun out of a small sample of guns that are often mentioned as possible military issued guns. I have not see a national poll on this subject so I made one. So vote and give your reason in a reply to this post. Pass this poll along so that we can get a good sampling from all over the country. I'd use the same thing that I use for EDC, for the same reason. It's a very compact and lw 9mm, so it stays out of the way and unnoticed, in a front pants pocket holster, protected from the elements. If I felt that I had any sort of serious combat need, I'd have my M4 on the assault sling. the pistol is virtually nothing in the military. With the possible exception, that is, of CID and maybe an MP on traffic control.
