OT Gun Nuts: Bullet Types & Naming Conventions

While posting about various cartridges in the revolver thread at OT it occured to me that some folks might have no clue what 'FMJ' or 'JHP' means or how they differ amongst others. So a quick search for said terms came up with a reference I found at the Cheaper Than Dirt forum.
I'm going to repost here what 'RendonRedneck' compiled an age ago that is very complete and should more than answer anyones question toward what do those alpha code conventions mean at the end of cartridge names.
