I don't need a high end rig, I just want something sufficient to hit at 200 yds.
Most of my shooting will be around 100 yds, however 200 + would be great as I have the territory to do so. Thanks.

any cheap BSA simmons, weaver, tasco will do. Get an variable that goes to 10x and you'll be fine. on low recoil guns you don't need a high end scope and unless you shoot at dusk you don't need good glass either. The only problem with low end scopes it repeatability. But unless you are constantly shooting at different distances and your first shot must hit, then that is not an issue either

What kind of shooting will you be doing? Anything above 3x either fixed power or variable will do fine out to 200.

Take Weaver off the list, their not a dirt cheap scope anymore, 120+ for most of them, and add Barska and bushnell. You can get a Barska 3-12 for under 70$ that will do what you want with it.

Work awesome. Well worth the $$$$$$$
Samson is just the quick flip mount. That's an Aimpoint 3x magnifier. Together that costs $660.00...

Check out this site for inexpensive, but effective scopes. http://www.cdnninvestments.com/scopes.html I've gotten BEC, New Century, Tasco, Ultralux and ZOS scopes from them. Each under $100.00 and they all work fine, but with different characteristics.

What are you going to be mounting this on?

I'll be mainly shooting paper (with my SU-16). However rabbits, groundhogs, *****, and other misc. varmint will also be on the list. I just can't shoot my dad's 70 year old .22 like he does. :p

I was looking around the net and found some Barska and Bushnell models. I use a Bushnell on my deer rifle and its never failed me.

Thanks for the tips guys.
