Evening all. Just wanted to say Hello now that I can post .

I had been considering getting a Ruger Mini-14, but after reading various threads here and other places I decided to spend the extra money and get an AR-15.

I just picked up a Bushmaster ORC at Cabelas (on sale for 829) and had an EOtech sight installed.

They didn't have the Wolf Bulk ammo in stock, but I am not planning to zero in the scope for another week.

Agreed, good choice getting the AR over the Mini-14.

As much of an AK guy as I am, I can still appreciate an AR-15 when assembled well (read: High end receivers)... The Mini-14 however... Meh, can't appreciate that thing no matter how dressed up it is. Perhaps it's because of all the bad experiences I've had with it (not just one, but several). I think it's biggest issue is it's magazines... No matter how high of quality mags you get for it, it still misfires/misfeeds like a dirty venician whore with 7 types of STD's. (No idea why I threw in that last part)

I think that was the Ruger AC556. I'm not too sure though.
