I finally decided I wanted a SIG 232 .380 for a CCW for lightr clothes so I ran to my dealer last night to order it and I need some 9mm fodder also(this shit is getting expensive I'm going through 800+rds a week) . Anyway I walk in and and we start BSing and I tell him what I need and he asks me what I think of GLOCK I was shocked cuz he don't ever ask questions just gets what I want and I know he doesn;t even like glocks. He pulls out a G26 and a G22 used but very lightly, in very good condition and asks if I want them I say no I don't like the plastic feel so he tells me a story This is very very unlike Freddy trying to sell me something so I listen.

Here a guy that goes to the shop passed away 2 weeks ago at his sons funeral, heartattack, and his wife is getting rid of all his toys. 85 of them and my dealer is doing the sales. She just wants them and the memories gone
.
So 1 arm twist/guilt trip and 550$ later I got a G26 for carry and a G22 to do something with lol The bad part is I've ben out of the country most of the last few weeks and missed most of the stuff he sold that I would have liked to have. He only had about 12-15 left.

That's ridiculous. I don't know if I'd be easy with owning a dead man's gun, unless it was from a war. I'm not generally superstitious, but I hate dealing with dead people stuff.

edit: to be clear I'm cool with owning dead people stuff of those close to me, just not randoms.

I understand what you mean, I buy most of my used guns either from consignment or at public estate sales/auctions. If the family wants to sell them I'm willing to buy them if they have something I like. Sales/auctions are tricky as you don't want to run up a bid against family members, I made that mistake once, unknowingly at the time. Afterwards he and I made a deal, I took a small loss but have a clear conscience. Now everytime i got to a auction I know all family member bidding before hand.
Yeah, I don't own any milsurp for the simple reason that I won't even touch a dead man's gun (or woman's). I've got bad enough luck the way it is, I don't need to tempt fate.
why so superstisious??? your going to miss out on all the cool old stuff cause of that?

ya i have to agree with you, but overall i'd rather not know that the person who owned if before me is dead
As long as it hasn't been booked for evidence...... how cheap? lol
