I just found out that my wifes Mom has a J.P. Sauer & Sohn Super Medallion .38 special pistol.

I'm just looking for some history/info on the pistol for her...I know it's from after WWII and it's in great shape the wood handles are a little worn but that's it. Should I buy her a new .38 and tell her to stop shooting this one?

...she's had it in a shoe box wrapped in a towel for who knows how long, so I got her a nice case and gun sock for it.

I reccomend looking aroudn on the auction sites to see what the going price is. If it were a war era or pre war Sauer I would say dont shoot it. Being its a post war the values are all over the place.
