Definately disagree with that. All the 700 I have owned or worked on have very nice trigger with alittle adjustment, all except one has a smooth 2lbs with no creep or overtravel. and the one exception is a 40x and that is 11/4lbs

I haven't heard anything about changes and the brake looks the same
The extra weight on the front will help reduce rise, but we decrease mobility.

The 16 is a very nice shooting rifle, very controllable, the only issue is muzzle blast, but that is only for the people shooting next to you, behind the gun is great
