now we are talking

i was thinking in the $200 range or so.

plastic/kydex sheath with a paracord wrapped handle or something simular

i like that tanto blade - but not totally sold on it, double edge is a possibility

well there is allways ranger knives

sorta basic for my taste.

the new Sting from crkt is also nice, and cheep, but no kydex

emmerson makes a few really kick ass Karambit's

they also make the griffe, which in my opinion, is the ultimate shank knife

i have never owned a Boker. i was over at bladeforums.com today poking around, but couldent find anything concrete regarding quality. from what i can gather there fairly consistant, but some of there lower cost products show signs of poor manufacturing.

find me a specific model Boker you are looking at and ill look around some more for you, im kind of intarested myself. most of my info i get from bladeforums.

also, i wouldent give up on thet CRKT, have you tried froogle.com?

bawahahahahaha

i tried all the search engines - problem is the "lowest" guys minus the ebay guys showed "items in stock" that were not updated

it sucked - had monies tied up in paypal for weeks because of refunds and such.

lets see the boker i was lookin into was this one:

boker plus BO216

hey what about kabar?

i was also thinkin about this one:

1485 TDI Law Enforcement Tanto, Serrated

thanks in advance for your researchin da blade forums

now i gotta get my glock fixored

kabar is top notch.

can i ask why you want a serrated blade?

yea - i like the kabar, it looks really functional

in regards to the serrated blade - its not a requirement - but if its an option i like to have it

i have on my current carry rig and its quite handy, it basically will cut through anything you put in front of it.

my first choice the crkt 1st strike didnt have a serrated blade

so you think i should go with the kabar - if i can find them in stock

serrated is really only designed for certain things and its extreamly dificult to sharpen effectivly.

true

so u no think a combo edge is efective for a defensive blade?
