Is the Kel-Tec SU-16CA legal to own in CA?

I would think so, no pistol grip but it has a Threaded barrel and can be used with high caps so only two "Evil" fetures".

Hehe yeah the CA part makes it CA legal. SoCal is devoid of public outdoor rifle ranges. Unless you can swing getting on a base range or you don't mind driving a few hours.

It's actually not bad at all here. The eye candy makes up for alot.

I was born and raised in SoCal. I left in '94 after high school. I moved to Oregon with my dad for 2 years, went to school and fell in love with the PNW.

SoCal shouldn't be too bad...I have 3 loves in my life...

1) My wife - she'll be with me.

2) Turbocharged cars - lots o' them down there.

3) Guns - Don't know how I'm going to handle that one or what I'm going to do with some of the stuff I have.

I'm not sure of the laws in CA, but I know they have a list of approved handguns that can be purchased in state, but you can bring in any handgun from out of state when you move, then sell them to CA residents when you live in CA. So stock up on handguns that are not on the list

I have an SU-16B, which is the A model with shorter barrel and iron sights rather than plastic ones. It's legal.

like ORCA says... even if you have that uber full auto rifle, there is nowhere to shoot it. the closest public rifle range (100/200/300yds) is like 1 hour away in a very remote place. and even at that, i wouldn't dare enter any public range down here without knowing the owner/staff very well, a friend, or a second loaded weapon.

i'm sure it's like that everywhere... but some of the people i see buying guns and shooting them at the range make me shake my head in sorrow...

global i strongly agree i never leave my home ranghe owned by my parents and some people are just idiots,we've had 2 take guns away from few people recently ,i only go to one other range and i know every one there.thank god i live in ky ,the one place guns will be kept under matress's forever.....hopefully
