Agreed...this is excellent work & thinking by who ever in marketing or sales.
Too bad they don't have a MA legal variant with a shoulder stock.

Throw some dessicant packs in there, pack in 4 or 5 boxes of shells, attach a tampon style pull string with handle to the end of the tube, bury 1' deep in an easy to locate spot in ones backyard with handle exposed and hidden amongst brush or under the bird feeder, forget about it untill the twister or aliens arrive.
Pull, pop top, and you're in the game.

wow janq -

thats alot more thought put into it than i had ever expected

i suppose you would lock the gun, how would u hide the key or expect to carry it with you at all times?

and i dont know how i would feel having an unscured weapon outside my home - that could possibly be used against me

in addition to the tube - it might have been a good idea to use the marine edition to futher prevent any issues in a damp/wet enviroment

I didn't know which one to go with...I had the guy at the gun store ask Mossberg if the tubes were any different and mossy said they are the same...just different colors. So I went with the $100 cheaper model.

its not the tube color that makes the difference - as it is the gun's finish which will could make the world of difference

glad to see some folks got in on this

and janq - i totally understand what you were saying and trying to do

u might want to do 2 or 3 tubes - one for the weapons, one with food stuffs and one with radio, flashlights ect
