Hi, I'm Joe, I'm a shooting instructor and Machine Gun Owner. I've owned them for about 4 years now, and spent most of last year working with them 5-days a week as an instructor.
I'm a curious fellow, and naturally had lots of questions about machine guns, particularly the handling procedures and doctrine behind these guns. I have a Lafette sitting in my living room, and I can't help but wonder, "just how exactly this crazy thing was used".
So, with my curiosity as an owner, and experiences as an instructor (working with, shall we say, "Europe's Largest and Finest Collection of Completely Devastated Weapons), I've got a lot to say on the topic.
With that in mind set about producing a series of videos on machine gun theory and operation, combining my own experience, research and military doctrine, which I have christened "Machine Gun Instruction For The Masses".
In my premier video in the series, I describe the firing sequence in the MG42.
