I suppose it's more of a circumnavigation, but i'm wondering if any of you more ejicated types can help.

Would it be illegal to use the receiver of a "pistol" (legal definition) as a buttstock?

what i mean is not actually attach a buttstock, but brace it into your shoulder. something like holding one of those ugly AR pistols up against yourself. are you committing a crime?

Not as long as you are not attaching anything to the buffer tube. Wouldnt work well anyways since you have about zero length of pull.

ya i know, that's just the only 'pistol' i could think of with material located behind the pistol.
