this afternoon - DaButtKracken's Mossy 500 with the SpecOps Stock and my Win 1300 Defender back to back.

holy shit the SpecOps Stock really does reduce the recoil by 85%-95% - i shot 2 rounds of 00 buck followed by 2 rounds of HP rifled slugs.

first out of the defender - regular stock, then out of the mossy with the SpecOps Stock.

it was night and day difference - even a range officer stopped by adn squeezed off a few in amazement

you could pump out 1oz HP rifled slugs all day long and not even feel it



so - i recomend the Knoxx SpecOps or CompStock for excellent recoil reduction

the SpecOps will be in the mail for my defender shortly - then i plan to spend some time at the range and go through a 100 round torture test to see who gives up first - the SpecOps or me! :twisted:

Sweet. I'm shopping for a good deal on an 870 3.5" Super Mag as we speak and was interested in the Knoxx system to manage the recoil. Nice to know it works as advertised. Mind if I ask where you picked it up and how much you paid?

i got my project 870 super mag from WallyWorld for cheap - they usually run sales prior and post hunt'n seasons and xmas.

I have the Spec Ops NRS (no recoil reduction) on my 870 express & love it....Knoxx tells me I can have it upgraded to include the recoil system for about $60. I am pleased with its fit & finish.

i got mine through midway usa, that and impact guns seemed to have good prices

everyone is estimating that they will get their stock on april 3rd for some reason

guess i was lucky, when i ordered my 590 i *explicitly* asked for the shoulder stock. when it arrived with a pistol grip they offered me the specops stock w/ installation for +$100 OTD.
