Well just got back from testing out my new Kel tec PF9. Let me just add I was paranoid purchasing this due to alot of complaints online. My friend Andrew and I both purchased the last to Kel Tec PF9's at the shop. We stopped at Gander Mntn and got some ammo. Remington UMC 250rnds for 36$ (good deal!) Well the 1st mag (7 rounds) shot perfectly no FTFs or light strikes at all! Trigger pull was a little harder than my XD but let me just tell ya.... there is a night and day difference between these two guns and there accuracy!
The Kel tecs first mag, I aimed for a headshot from about 40-50 feet 1st two shots right to the nose/forehead area. Then Aimed for a center chest shot. Grouped 4 more in the center! I was amazed at how accurate this thing was! My buddy decided to try his out, same affect as mine deadly accurate! We were both very impressed with our 1st mag through the PF9.
After about 6 mag's each we decided to try slow/fast rate of fire. No issues there either got off about 7 shots as fast as I could and no jams/FTF's or light strikes! I was very impressed. So long story short after about 100 rounds each we called it a day (was hott outside) and proceeded to the house.
Once we got home we decided time to clean these bad boys  . HA!! What a NIGHTMARE we were about to experience! Got her apart and cleaned and trying to get her back together was a BITCH! See this link:
http://www.ktrange.org/phpbb2/viewtopic.php?t=6574 So after literally about 3-4 hours we finally got her back together. That last damn pin was a pain in the arse, luckly my uncle lent a hand and assisted with the finished assembly. 1st time experience stripping this thing was a pain, a major pain. But I cant knock the gun, its 11.8ounces and the easiest, most accurate CCW pistol I ever owned!
Looks like that "Wonderful" XD40 will be taking the back seat to my kel-tec. I am very pleased with Kel Tec thus far and I love firing the gun. Word of advice though, the gun is a punishing little toy! I couldnt believe after 5-6 rounds how much this little pistol kills the hand/palm!
I give this gun a 8/10 only complaints are the fact that its a pain to reassemble and sometimes the slide can be a bit of a bisch to release (have to pull on it sometimes). However it may just need broken in still! Love it and cant wait to shoot some more tomorrow!
