Shot a 98% with my Taurus. Had a cool instructor who let me shoot the FBI course........shot a 94%. I outshot the Ex Police chief and 4 reserve officers. Not bad for running on 2 hours sleep.

One guy had a Hi Point 9mm and would not have passed if not for our instructor. He had to run it 3 times to get a passing mark of 70%. At 25 yards I could throw more accurately than that gun. I only got beat by one guy........he was shooting a Ruger 22 pistol.....fucking cheater! One guy tied me with a 1911 Colt....not a 1911A1, but an original 1911 that the Sheriff office GAVE him. It was arsenal refinished and not matching inside, but I couldnt believe it. Apparently they have 3 others just laying around up there that are WW2 era Remington Rand made. They laid all 4 out for him and said "pick one". He took the Colt.

They only gave it to him cause he is a reserve officer without the cash to get his own weapon. You either have to buy a Springfield XD in 45ACP or a Para Ordnance 1911 45ACP as an officer (Poor county so cops have to buy their own guns). Since the Colt was close to a Para he let the reserve officer have it. Only thing that sucks is that when he was done his hand was bruised to shit from hammer bite. I told him to have a commander ring hammer and a commander grip safety put on by a smith to fix it.


BTW.....The Remy's might be a good collector piece.......I hate the 1911 as a shooter. It has the wrong grip for me and I LOATHE grip safeties. Pretty much the same reason I would never like an XD or an HK USP(well just the grip)

all 1911s and its predecessors did. the 1903 might not have, but that wasn't a short recoil gun anyway.

really only the high power doesn't have one.
