Democratic presidential primary candidate and US Senator John Edwards talks with YouTube's Steve Grove.

Edwards discusses his plans for Iraq, answers user questions, and rifles through a shotgun round of questions called "right or privilege."

To learn more about Senator Edwards and his campaign, go to his You Choose '08 channel: www.youtube.com/johnedwards

Listen to the whole thing if you like but specifically be sure to listen closely to his closing comments at the 4:40 mark.
If you do not find yourself shocked then well you too do not know or understand the US Constitution nor the Bill of Rights.

That was disgusting... and this is why I tell everyone I can about Ron Paul! I can't believe politicians can be this bad at understanding the Constitution and the Bill of Rights.

So many politicians see the public as dangerous entities that have to be controlled, managed, restrained and restricted. How can the vision for this country have been so twisted from it's original?

This reminds me very much of Rudy Giuliani's quote:

"Freedom is about authority. Freedom is about the willingness of every single human being to cede to lawful authority a great deal of discretion about what you do and how you do it."

Rudy Giuliani
Quoted in 'Time' magazine, June 1998.

Scary scary stuff.

I do not know if I really agree with that so much. That leads to tyranny of the masses and is the last thing the founding fathers wanted. Alot of "peoples" movements, parties, and governments have been less than capable of ruling well.
