As much as I wanted the full sized version of it, I couodn't pass this deal up... $1,600 = teh win.

Just went to the shop to finalize everything... Got a weaver mounted mechanical style bi-pod too... Not sure what I'll put it on... Also got the Orange/Green night sites installed (didnt have the tools and I am "le tired", aka french, aka, lazy). lol (No, I'm not French)

Wanted to buy some 7.62Nato but daaym, prices are $$$$. Gonna buy from AIM surpluss
or something. Going to also start re-loading myself.


Almost picked up a CA version of the Saiga AK (chambered in 7.62 x 39), but the guy told me that my AK mags wont feed the gun, they will fit, just not feed. So I said screw it. What makes it legal is that it is non-pistol grip, and ten round detach mags.

You can easily mod the gun to make the mags work. The problem is that the feed ramp on Saigas are integral with the mag, on the AK they are on the gun. A simple google of the process makes it seem retarded easy. Pretty much can use a piece of pipe.

Had to wait 12 days because the shop is closed on Sundays and Mondays, otherwise my pickup day would have been today (Sunday). Bleh!

Congrats y'all. Post pics plzkthx when you get a chance. Those sound like pretty sweet acquisitions.

I'm currently on day 30-ish, waiting for an 03 FFL. Calfornia might make you wait 10 days before you can kill somebody with a brand new gun, but the feds make you wait six to eight WEEKS before you can get 60 year old guns sent to your house via UPS. Sheesh
