the venerable WA2000 ;) A very "Hitman" sniper rifle.

Airsoft version here ;P Circa 1993, gas powered made by Asahi. (Just in case you can't afford or find a real 1)

The wa2000 looks cool and could shoot very accurately. But it was very hard for a person to shot accurately consistantly. The stock design and the way the scope mounts in conjunction with normal cheek weld makes it very awkward. On a average bolt rifle the scope's crosshairs are 1"-2" above the barrel/action depending on the scope and mounts. But on the wa2000 the scope sits up 4"+ and in extreme cases like the scope in the pic even higher, so unless you have a long face it's dificult to get the same sight picture. If you mount the gun as you norally would with a natural cheek weld your eye is looking at the scope mounts.
ORCA, How available is the airsoft verson? I must have it.
VERY VERY Scarce. I dug around an old Airsoft shop in Japan for 1 of these about 5 years ago. In horribly beat up condition it went for $2000.00.

If you're really interested, drop an email over to this guy, Sniperx (Paul) [email protected] He owns all the guns in the following pic. And th eTop right is the WA2000. But he was last active on the topic of the WA2000 back in 2004 ;(

That pal of yours (cough P.H.) that owns that airsoft shop may have a line on these too ;P

and there's a guy in England who made 1 from scratch: http://homepage.ntlworld.com/ianandwendycoombes/WA2000 Build pics/wa2000.htm

That dude from England!!!

Perhaps I should put my mind to something more like that!
And btw, you and Adler... If I could combine your minds, I could rule the world.
Well we already have a nice Triumvirate with you, me, and orca.

 God help us all lol
yea, I thought about getting one of those... but I decided that it wasnt fancy enough....
Man, that scope alone is probably worth more than my entire collection, plus ammo. :)
Geneth also made an airsoft version, but it was apperently limited to 300, so good luck finding one of them either. ;)
shit bruce, that scope is friggin' massive!!! you planning to snipe some astronauts or what?
Im a walther man 100%. My fav pistols are almost all walthers and I really wished that they would get more into rifles. They did in ww2 and then let it die. How I would love a G41 or G43/K43.
