Yeah but thats not an true AK since it doesnt use the AK revciever and doesnt use an intermediate cartridge. Its more in the vein of a PSL.

But yeah a Yugo M76 would be in my top 3 for semi auto sniper rifles.

i believe it's still an AK receiver, just elogated. the SVD design is different, whereas iirc, the m76 is just a 'fatter' AK.

intermediate cartridges are for wussymen

The M76 is an oddball for sure cause its not in any combloc caliber but in 8mm mauser so it takes its own special reciever. Like the PSL its something in its own domain for a true AK will always be in an intermediate cartridge. Its an AK type action but so is a Galil, Valmet, CZ2000 and such but the are never referred to as an AK cause they do not meet the standardization you see in true Kalashikovs like the Yugo M70, Tantal, and such were parts from different nations interchange.

well the galil and valmet are pretty much AKs. you can get a .223 ak from izmesh and dress it up as a galil and they're almost spot on.

Hesse made a copy in 7.62x39mm and if they werent built of shitty metal I would own one.
