So went to drop off app. at the H.R. office for the City of Houston to take the Civil Service exam for the Police Dept. this Friday. They allow you to carry your CW in as long as you show your CHL before going through the metal detector. I show the private security company employed girl the I.D., which she still tells me to empty my pockets so I wouldn't set off the detector. I tell her that the gun will still set it off so what is the point. She gets all excited and starts asking me a bunch of questions. Are you carrying right now? Where are you carrying? What kind of gun? And then the idiot question. Can I see it? I politely answer the question I feel safe with. Yes, I am carrying that is why I showed you the Lisc. and it is a semi-auto. The other two questions I answered with, Its would no longer be concealed if I told you were I carried it or if I showed it to you. You would think that they would give these folks so training. She later told me that she is going to apply next year after she gets enough college credits. Scary.

Remember people watch out for the stupid people when carrying.

I can understand carrying for your line of work.

Hell, I can understand carrying because you feel it necessary.

But what I don't understand is how people with obvious issues (such as inferiority complexes, masculinity problems, ego issues, etc.) are allowed to carry weapons, period. (Rant sparked by point of idiots waving guns around at inappropriate times. Sadly, what was said is TRUE.)
