I wasn’t a big fan of striker fired pistols but after today that has changed. (I’ve never liked the glocks or the STEYR M-A1 that I’ve shot.) Well if there was a pistol that could dethrone and take away from my USP, the title favorite pistol evAr!!1!!....It would maybe be the XD-45 5” Tactical I shot today. Very nice pistol if I may say so…with the stuff you get with it and for the price…I'd pick one up if I was in the market for a pistol.

This was the second time I’ve fired an XD, the other one was the 4” .45, I like the 5” .45 better.

Yeah USP and 1911 fans like them due to the grip angle and feel.

I hate to say stuff like what I'm about to say because I’m an idiot and don’t like to sound dumb...”The XD felt real good and it was very easy to shoot well” They did a really good job with the ergonomics of the weapon, I have big, thin hands and the pistol is like it was made for me.

I sold a kid a 5in in 45GAP about a year ago. I just do not like the damned grip safety on them. Plus I am used to a more extreme grip angle to USPs, XDs, and 1911s just do not opoint for me at all. People keep telling me that the 1911 has the most natural grip angle but everytime I look at the uber expensive olympic target pistols they all have a more slanted grip like I like. I guess its all what you cut your teeth on.

to each his own if the gun goes bang all the time and hit its intended target.
