Trust me... I know how it feels when you spend a grand on ammo and then think about how its just going to all go up in smoke. Just keep the brass...

what kind of .308 ammo did you get?

Sadly thats a normal price now... Im betting all NATO cal's will come down once the wars over but who knows who will be in power at the time.

Until then I am afraid its all steel cased or reloads for me. Im hoarding my 2k rounds of 7.62 NATO

Ya know, you can still get quality bullets for cheap.

If I shot anything regularly besides black powder and 7.62x54R, I'd seriously be considering getting set up for reloading. Besides, you can do all kinds of fun things with hand loaded ammo, like put steelcore milsurp 5.56 bullets in .30 cal sabots, and then into 7.62x25 Tokarev brass. Puts Five Seven to shame, both ballistically and price-wise.
