I am thinking about getting an H&K USP .40 - anyone have any input on the gun and good or bad points?

why is this in the Members Gallery forum??? Moving to the proper place.

Which USP .40? Full Size or Compact? I got a USP .45 It's a great gun. Only bad point is the accessory rail which is fixed by adding an adapter.
personal opinion - i bought a 9mm and .45 usp compact in '99-'00

they were my first "plastic" handguns

anyway - i was not impressed by the amount of wear on the plastic frame, especially slide rail

so i sold both of them for that reason

hopefully they may have changed the design to prevent premature failure
Not sure what happened to my post on this topic..

As I was sayign before I hit pie pans from 60-70 yards with it all the time with its rifle like accuracy... and thats a compact.

As for frame wear I have never read anything or had any trouble with mine and I have fired well over 2500 rounds in it. I inspect my guns every 500 rounds or so very very well.
I had a USPS tactical. very nice gun, was extremely accurate. I liked that you carry C&L or DA
