I am trying to make the decision between a CETME and a higher end AK47 I’m thinking a Yugoslavian M70 under folder I enjoy shooting both calibers I’ve shot lots of AK’s and a few G3 types and there both grate. I can’t expect you to make a decision without knowing what all is using it for honestly mostly just dumbassry in the desert and some varmint hunting just a rec gun possibly it will serve as a militia gun anyway any impute would be nice.

CETME guns from Century are touch and go. I reccomend a JLD Enterprises PTR91, which is a HK91 built in America. Farhter range and greater power than any standard AK

However look at the VEPR AKs. They have them in 308 winchester and they are really nice guns.

I hate VEPR AKs

Well if its a dislike of anything but looks there are few out there better built.

If you want a military style then go Arsenal since the Century Yugos are not that great, or look into the Hungarian AMD 65 or AMD 63 builds.

Most of the newer Ceme's are good, but they are picky on ammo sometimes, dont use low powered or old crap because it gums it up very quickly and the bolt will not close all the way. Otherwise they are great guns for the price.

Just be carefull. Century had some CETME recievers made by the much loathed Hesse/Vulcan arms.
