With gas prices being what they are, and TA salaries being what they are I went out and got a bike to alleviate my fuel woes. It gets 75-80mpg and is an awfully comfortable ride for what it is. I have to give Yamaha props, they built and tuned this thing to get every once of juice out of the little engine. My old dirt bike with this same engine didn't feel this snappy. I will lose some of it when I swap a smaller rear sprocket in it to get more top end, but I drive ALL week on about 5-6 bucks of gas where it used to be 50-60.

its not that bad.

Yes, it isn't the just chicks you have to watch out for. It is the mexicans, blacks, middle eastern, asian, and teenagers you have to watch out for.

That and idiots. They litter the highways.

Good stuff Robz0r. Wish I could ride a bike here in the bay area, but far too many female drivers... I'd die far too quickly.

Thats why my dad's friend who lives in San Jose does alot more riding when he comes here for the summer every year. But he rides alot out there as well. But he is one of those crazy guys who goes on Ironbutt rides. I mean the guy rode from Gnome Alaska to the tip of Argentina and back to San Jose on a frigging 400cc dirt bike. And he is 70 years old!

blindeye, are sv650's as popular in GA as they are here?
They seem to be...

I live south of Macon now but I have family in north Atlanta and see them a lot when I am up there. But when I used to live in Daytona I knew a guy with a sv, and there were a hand full of other people. They were popular, just not as popular as SuperSport bikes.
