If you are any sort of handy and dont care about resale value I say build your own from Model 1, M&A, JT Dist, or even Deltron. Usually you save quite a bit of cash and you get exactly what you want.

Alright.. well the fact you are 5 years too young and most AR-15's are on the California Assault Weapons Ban list is probably part of why you find it hard to find stuff. Plus most gun stores do not list all they sell over the web, especially CA friendly shops.
