If its a Beretta 92 or 96 dont get it.....they are not a well made gun. Beretta USA realy dropped the ball on them and they have a long track record for breaking locking blocks( I have seen a box full at a a range that rents them. its the most worked on model at alot of ranges) and cracking slides.

If you like the Beretta and want one..I sugest Taurus PT92. I have one and its as accurate, as reliable, cheaper, and built like thehigher quality Italian Berettas you cant get overhere anymore.

As for Sig and Glock....well its 2 different worlds really. Glocks will run cheaper and have an edge reliability wise, but if you like hammer guns then Sig works well. I suggest taht you might want to look into CZ 75 or the EAA Witness. They are slightly cheaper than all you suggested and have been popular for yers with American shooters. They are basically the same design but vary in calibers and finish. CZ is the original and EAA is a nice Italian made copy.

Outside the 230/232, 226, and 220 I really never did care for the others. Well I do love the 210 but thats way too rich for my blood

Acutally alot of LE agencies are moving away from Glocks. The cops here all use SIG 226, HK USP, or Springfield XDs. Thery used to use glocks but the lack of external safeties combined with a relatively light trigger make glocks a somewhat problematic carry weapon. Although accidents are rare it is still more likely since all the safeties are in teh trigger alone. This si why I went Steyr....same thing as a glock....same designer but witht he added security of a safety so if soemthing snags my trigger I dont end up with a .355 hole in me.

Also more Govt agencies use SIG and HK guns over Glocks.

Just because a gun is durabe doesnt mean its the best service arm. Like I said put an extra safety on it and it would be a better gun. Also straighten the grip out a bit.

And this reason is why I love the Walther p99. It resets itself to DAO in the event of a FTF...but for the safe action type guns I love my Steyr. I like to call it an evloved g19

if the fbi thinks the sig is the best why did they choose a Glock to be their sidearm?

Yeah the SIG is the best but the Glock is much cheaper and adequate to fill the FBI's needs. The same thing happened when we replaced the 1911 in the US military. SIG and Beretta both passed all the tests but they picked Beretta cause they were cheaper. I sure guess they are regretting that now since the M9 has been plagued with issues like premature locking block failure and slides cracking.

The debate is not so much will the pistol cause a FTF but will bad ammo. The SIG is simply better adapted to handling a misfire by beign able to just pull the trigger again instead of recocking the action by racking the slide.

Well breaking in or not I just see it as some ammo makers I have used have given me a bad round or 2. Its just nice to be able to pull the trigger again to set it off instead of having to rack the slide to recock the action like in a glock or even my most loved Steyr

I have had bent cases in Whitebox as well. 3 in a hundred round pack one day. Thats why I try to avoid it and buy CCI or UMC stuff.

I did know a guy trade in his Glock 21 for a SIG 220 and the 220 was a jamming machine with his favorite defense ammo choices so he sodl it and bought another Glock in 10mm this time.

Aftermarket barrels for Glocks have fully supported chambers.

The SIG mosquito is a POS but thats it for bad SIGs

I agree with previous posts. Pre Beretta USA guns are much better.
