[Damn Yankee]

Well, in about 3.5 hours I'll be boarding a commercial plane carrying my handgun. Another detective and I have to fly to Texas to interview a suspect in one of my cases.

We have letters from the Chief telling the airline who we are and what we're doing. Evidently that and a valid police ID are all it takes to fly armed.

Of course I'll be carrying my boat-anchor Beretta 92G. It'll be in my Serpa CQB holster.

And, thanks to Mythbusters, I now know that if I have to shoot, punching a hole in the plane's skin WON'T de-pressurize the cabin. So, if any terrorists are on the plane...BRING IT!! :lol:

You think the people you don't want to know don't already know? Hell, they are smuggling cheese and wire onto planes ... we need better things to worry about then harassing a police officer on an internet forum.

but "super duper classified" or not, it's still not info that is made readily available to the public. could you find it on the internet? more than likely. do people you don't want to have the info have it? of course.

i was not intending to knock our detective friend, just abrasively bringing up a point i felt needed to be touched on.

OK sport, if you can figure out EXACTLY where I'm flying from, EXACTLY where I'm flying to, the flight times and numbers, and what I look like from a freaking internet forum, you're a damn God.

And it's not like any other passenger who was alert in the airport couldn't figure it out.

Oooh, look at the two guys with the crew cuts who just walked up to the officer working security, showed him some papers, and were escorted around the screening process. Wow, and one's wearing a sports jacket that has a bulge at the hip and he doesn't even take it off when it's 150 damn degrees on the plane. Hmmmmmm.

And who the hell cares if everyone on the plane knows? I kinda wish they did, I'd rather deter a moron from doing something than have to react on a plane full of people.
